LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of NBA stars Lonzo and LaMelo Ball, recently underwent a life-changing surgery. He had his right leg amputated last month due to a serious medical condition.

Since his surgery, Ball has been seen moving around on a scooter. The emotional and physical toll of such a medical emergency is something only the patient and their family can truly understand. However, in true LaVar Ball fashion, he appears to be embracing the challenge with his signature boldness and humor.

On Wednesday, Ball provided an update on his condition, and his energy was as infectious as ever. In a video posted on Big Baller Brand’s official Instagram, he was spotted singing and dancing while seated, grooving to the classic hit “What Is Love” by Haddaway.

What is love? Baby, don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me, my foot!” Ball sang.

Rather than letting the situation weigh him down, Ball continues to enjoy life. The businessman underwent the procedure in early February, but details surrounding his condition remain private.

LaVar Ball first rose to fame while his sons were dominating at Chino Hills High School. Since then, he has transformed into one of the most talked-about figures in the sports world.

For most, such a life-altering event might call for reflection and a period of adjustment. But for LaVar Ball, it’s just another opportunity to prove that nothing can keep him from being the center of attention. Before his singing video went viral, Ball made waves on TikTok by once again challenging NBA legend Michael Jordan to a one-on-one matchup.

People been saying I still can’t beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, especially without my foot. Well, guess what? If I really wanted to, I can give him 70 and an A*-whoopin’,” Ball said.

Ball’s claim is a continuation of a long-running joke, as Ball has repeatedly insisted over the years that he could take Jordan in a one-on-one game. Even now, after losing a leg, he refuses to back down from his over-the-top statements.
