Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders has made a decision on the NFL Scouting Combine ahead of his transition to the league following two seasons in Boulder.
Shedeur, who followed his head coach and father, Deion Sanders, from Jackson State to Colorado, is set to play without his dad for the first time as he will be leaving him behind in college.
Now edging toward a professional career, the QB will look to let teams in on what he’s like as a person instead of showcasing his throwing skills in the upcoming combine.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that the player will focus on his interviews and allow his four years of film to do the talking for him, although he plans to throw at his Pro Day.
“Shedeur Sanders has impressed teams with his presence, poise and intelligence off the field and that should continue in Indy,” Rapoport added.
Shedeur Sanders’ Decision Shouldn’t Come As A Surprise

Sanders had an impressive second season as the starter in Colorado, helping the Buffs improve to 9-3 and make it to a bowl game last term after a 4-8 finish in 2023.
He and teammate Travis Hunter have since declared for the draft, and it will be interesting to see where they end up and how their careers pan out.
As for his decision, it has become typical of star college athletes to opt out of performing on the field in the combine, so this is nothing new.
