As Maxx Crosby pushes for Aaron Rodgers to join the Las Vegas Raiders, the superstar defensive end has landed himself a record-setting extension.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders and Maxx Crosby have agreed to a massive three-year contract extension worth $106.5 million. The deal makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history and includes $91.5 million in guarantees, per Schefter.

This is Crosby’s second big-money extension in three years. During the 2022 offseason, the Raiders handed Crosby a four-year pact worth $94 million after he led the team to just its second playoff appearance since 2003.

Crosby’s extension also comes just two days after he scared Raiders fans by seemingly hinting at a trade to the Philadelphia Eagles with this cryptic emoji post on X/Twitter.

The four-time Pro Bowler has emerged as one of the best draft steals of his era, developing into a top-tier pass-rusher after being taken in the fourth round (106th overall) by the Raiders back in 2019.

In 95 career games, the 27-year-old Maxx Crosby has 59.5 sacks, 23 pass breakups, nine forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. His best season came in 2023, when Crosby logged 14.5 sacks.

Speaking on the latest edition of his “The Rush” podcast, Crosby expressed his desire for the four-time quarterback to join Las Vegas:

The Jets will release Rodgers any day now and send him into free agency, putting the future Hall of Famer on the open market for the first time in his career. Will that culminate in Rodgers fulfilling Crosby’s wish? Stay tuned.
