Some NFL fans are choosing to boycott their team after a photo of Ivanka Trump surfaced.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Donald J. Trump, posted some photos on social media of her family hanging out with an NFL quarterback. The daughter of the President of the United States is married to businessman Jared Kushner. The Kushner-Trump family has been spending a lot of time in the sports world lately.

President Trump attended Super Bowl 59 with his daughter, Ivanka Trump. The Ivanka Trump family then attended the NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, California.

On Sunday night, a photo of Ivanka Trump with the NFL quarterback went viral.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his teammate, Braxton Berrios, were spotted hanging out with Ivanka Trump and her family.

Sunday, March 2 was Tua Tagovailoa’s birthday.

Some NFL fans of the Dolphins are choosing to renounce their fandom over the photo.

“Tua supports Trump? So glad Jalen got a ring before him,” one fan wrote.

“Nothing is wrong with him playing chess. Tua is a Trump supporter. That is what is wrong,” one fan added.

“Not a Trump fan. I am a Tua fan. Feeling conflicted,” one fan added.

“I’m sure everyone is going to be very calm and understanding about this. Definitely wont be a huge story…,” another fan added.

NFL players are obviously allowed to support whichever side of the political aisle that they want. However, in today’s age, any kind of political move is going to spark controversy on social media. Tua Tagovailoa is coming off a disappointing 2024 season, in which he missed six games due to injuries. The Dolphins, who hoped to conte for a playoff spot, failed to reach the postseason.

Tua and the Dolphins will look to take a big step forward in 2025.
