What Caitlin Clark's Iowa teammates, coaches have to say about her

Caitlin Clark will have some new weapons to utilize during the 2025 WNBA regular season.

Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, led the Indiana Fever to the playoffs in Year 1. The Fever lost a first round series to the Connecticut Sun. The Fever are committed to going deeper in 2025.

Indiana acquired veteran WNBA guard Sophie Cunningham in a four-team trade with the Phoenix Mercury earlier this offseason. Cunningham, who averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in 2024, should bring a steady presence to the Indiana backcourt.

She also brings a big following on social media.

Cunningham, who starred collegiately at Missouri, turned heads with a “cheeky” swimsuit photo shared to her Instagram Story on Monday.

The Fever are excited to bring Cunningham into the fold during the 2025 season.

“Sophie is a player that we have targeted for a while, and one that we believe is a perfect fit for the style we want to play,” said Fever General Manager and COO Amber Cox. “She is a fierce competitor, works incredibly hard on both ends of the floor and is one of the best shooters in our league. We are excited to add her to our squad.”
