Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce Announce Surprise News This Week - Men's Journal

During the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce talked about his future in the NFL as well as his performance in Super Bowl 59.

It was reported by several NFL reporters that Kelce would return to the Chiefs for the 2025 season. Well, he confirmed on Wednesday that he’s coming back for at least one more playoff run with Kansas City.

“I still feel like I could play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year,” Kelce said. “I don’t think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I’ve got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me.”

Speaking of the “bad taste” that was left in Kelce’s mouth, he only had four catches for 39 yards in the Super Bowl. His performance against the Philadelphia Eagles left him saying, “What the [expletive?”

We’re not kidding.

“I just don’t know what it was during that game, man. I wasn’t at my best,” Kelce said on his podcast. “The more that I see clips or watch the film or put myself back in those moment, man, I’m just like, ‘What the [expletive]?’”

Kelce has not yet said if the 2025 season will be his last in the NFL. He’s going to play out his current deal with the Chiefs and then think things over next offseason.

“I can’t say whether or not this is going to be the last year because I still love a lot of what I do for the city and the Chiefs organization. I know I got one on my contract and I’m gonna give you guys everything I got baby.”

Judging by Kelce’s comments, it sure sounds like this will be his final ride with the Chiefs.
